Condolences
T-Ford Webber You wil be missed January 22, 2011

I have had the pleasure of knowing John for quite a few years. He played drums for us in the Snard Brothers on a few different occasions and was always putting a smile on every ones face. His time and meter on the drums was a joy to work with. Never egotistical and a perfectionist musicaly and personally. John and I always shared a laugh or a joke everytime we saw each other. To his Mom & Dad, thank you for having such a great guy; to be a great friend to so many. You and your family are in our prayers. To his wife my deepest Condolences, I know that this is the hardest thing that you will have to accomplish. May the strength, Grace, Love, and comfort of our Lord Jesus be with you in your grief. May God give you solace and peace. John Kohn was a great man and a true Patriot. Thank you John, for enriching my life to have known you.

May you rest in peace.

God Bless

T.Webber

You were just too good for this earth John.

John, it was truly an honour to know and serve with you in Iraq. We will always be your brothers in arms.

Frank Fellow Recruit December 20, 2010

John,

I moved to this area and I knew virtually no one or anything about the Hampton Roads area, but you were a great friend who helped me along with this transition and move. If I had a question from training to locking my keys in my house you would always help me. You would stay after and help me shine my boots and work with other recruits whenever they needed. I looked up and still look up to you with great respect and admiration. You were a asset to Class 87 and you will be greatly missed but we will carry your legacy on in our work as we continue on, hard as it may be. Thank you so much for everything you did for me and our class. I promise I will never forget your life and the things you did. I can say you have greatly inspired and influenced my life... I look forward to seeing you again one day brother.

Paul Williams Neighbor December 20, 2010

John, though we had schedules that keep us from spending much time together, you always had a smile and a good natured "Hello" and a wave. We will miss you very much. The neighborhood is not as bright as it was.
To the family, we are very sorry for your loss and if there is anything we can do, just say so.
Tom McGuinness Chief of Police NMCP December 19, 2010

Fairwell little brother, even though you had not graduated you are a brother in arms of the Thin Blue Line. Take care of Heavan, for it is filled with the brave men and women of law enforcement.
Blenda Chaffin Scotts Mom December 19, 2010

I just read my facebook and am really sorry for your lost, Scott talked very much how he loved John like a brother, nothing or anyone can replace the life he led and what he gave to others, such as protecting our country even as a police officer. I don't know you but i feel your pain and want you to know GOD is in control and he is with the Angles in Heaven!!
Hendrick Polanco My deepest condolences December 18, 2010

My deepest condolences.  May these few words from the Holy Scriptures bring you comfort in your time of grief...

John 11:32-45

32 And so Mary, when she arrived where Jesus was and caught sight of him, fell at his feet, saying to him: “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.” 33 Jesus, therefore, when he saw her weeping and the Jews that came with her weeping, groaned in the spirit and became troubled; 34 and he said: “Where have YOU laid him?” They said to him: “Lord, come and see.” 35 Jesus gave way to tears. 36 Therefore the Jews began to say: “See, what affection he used to have for him!” 37 But some of them said: “Was not this [man] that opened the eyes of the blind man able to prevent this one from dying?”

38 Hence Jesus, after groaning again within himself, came to the memorial tomb. It was, in fact, a cave, and a stone was lying against it. 39 Jesus said: “TAKE the stone away.” Martha, the sister of the deceased, said to him: “Lord, by now he must smell, for it is four days.” 40 Jesus said to her: “Did I not tell you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?” 41 Therefore they took the stone away. Now Jesus raised his eyes heavenward and said: “Father, I thank you that you have heard me. 42 True, I knew that you always hear me; but on account of the crowd standing around I spoke, in order that they might believe that you sent me forth.” 43 And when he had said these things, he cried out with a loud voice: “Laz´a·rus, come on out!” 44 The [man] that had been dead came out with his feet and hands bound with wrappings, and his countenance was bound about with a cloth. Jesus said to them: “Loose him and let him go.”

45 Therefore many of the Jews that had come to Mary and that beheld what he did put faith in him;
